Green Gem issues

I guess there is a bug in the game that stops you from getting the green gem, at least that what I read.

I'm a level 49, I have completed the season's quest and all that, but when I go into wind knights tomb and win the battle to get the gem, it never appears. Only thing I get is a mana elixer every time. Is there anything (extra) I can do to make it appear?

I was going to use Vitamin F to get it, but that doesn't work either (I've read all the discusions on here about it, I do all the steps, nothing).

Any help will be appreciated. I would hate to not finish the game (again) just because of a bug.

Yeah, I tried that. I remember this being a problem online also and I can't recall what I did to get around it (probably used vatamin F).

I can't think of why Vit F isn't working. I load it using the start>run>cmd prompt, it runs but doesn't work in the game (I get absolutely nothing when I press f12, f9, etc). The only thing I can think of it's in a wrong directory. I have it in the same directory where I have the Yserbius exe file. I'll have to play around with it in the next few weeks. I can't believe they never patched this bug.

This is prolly a stupid suggestion, as I'm sure your aware of this... But make sure you run VitaminF in the same instence of Dos, as you are Ys.exe.... And yes, they have to both be in the same directory.

Nope, not a stupid suggestion. Since I run Yserbius with VDMS sound, I run it in a totally different (unvoluntary) instance of DOS which I really didn't think about before. I'll try running Yserbius without sound in the same DOS "shell" as Vit F. Thanks

Closing a DOS window that you ran VitF, clears the memory, thus isn't loaded when you run a ys.exe instence in another DOS window.

If ya gotta have sound, plug in Winamp (Or music player of your choice)with a Playlist of your choice, and rock out while ya kill Enny...

Rock on!

that's the weird part, I'm not closing the DOS window I ran VIt F in, I keep that going (it's even still there after I exit the game). When I run Yserbius using VDMS sound, it's a total seperate window. Either way, I have to use the same DOS window to run both correct? The sound isn't a big deal, I just got into the habit of running yserbius with VDMS sound without really thinking about it. Plus, I only have to run Vit F just once without the sound to get the Gem I'm looking for anways :D

Yeh, from what I understand DOS runs virtually (Emulated) in Windows, so each new dos instence takes up seperate memory locations. So to awnser your question, yes.. Run DOS, VitaminF and YS in the SAME DOS instence...

Also a side note, (Which I forgot about till I acidently did it) when you use vitaminF for an item, you have to use the corrisponding code in the Cano, exit the cano, then come back in before that item will appear between your legs.

Yup, that was the problem. It works now, good call Tiger, thanks! :D

Oh, I don't think you need to exit the volcano and re-enter for the item to appear. It worked for me the minute a punched in the item code and pressed enter. I didn't need to exit and enter the volcano again.
