I just want to ask.
How many here have heard of Empiriana?
It is a Online Multiplayer Game very very similiar to what we Yserbians used to know at TSN/INN
Did you know the creaters of Empiriana are former Yserbians and are members of this Website.?

Did you know that for now it cost absolutely nothing to download a copy of Empiriana and Cost nothing to Play Empiriana.?

Now we have members on this site who never played Yserbius online and have only hearsay to go by. I would suggest you sign up for a Empiriana Account and give it a test drive.

I highly reccomend it. If you like Yserbius then you will like this... http://www.irealms.com

Thanks for the mention Slohand. The game is still up and we would welcome everyone to stop by and say hi. You may find some old friends that still come on and play. Even if you hate us and or the game come on by. All your old accounts and characters are still on the system so if you want us to look up your old account number and password, just use the support link and fill out a service ticket. We would only need the real life name the account was registered to and the real life address so we can look it up for you. You can also just request a new account by following the instructions on the web site if you like. There is no charge and no catches at all to the offer. So take us up on the offer and hope to see you around.

Hmm, to open a ticket I need to login to my account.. catch 22 eh? hehe.

To open a ticket you will need to register with the help desk program. The reason is it communicates through email. So when we respond to your service request we send the message directly to the email address your currently using. The info you enter for the help desk does not have to be related at all to the info you used on your Empiriana account.
When you request a lookup for you old account information we ask you supply the real life name and address of the person the account was registered under and at least one character name. This is all for finding the account as well as security. Then we can send out your login ID and password to you and apart from installing the game client, you will all set to play again.
You can also download the game client as well as user docs from the web site. Looking at releasing another addition to the game in a few weeks as well. Hope you make it back and play.

Ahh, thanks for clearing that up.

That's really great you are offering that game for free now.. I hope it doesn't put you out too much to pay for the servers that run it. But maybe you slipped some ingame advertising in there eh? Hehe, that would be funny seeing ads on the sides of buildings or billboards in the game.
:p

LOL! Your walkin into DE and all of a sudden see an ad for Coke.... WTF? This a new quest?!? Or maybe Energizer? "Like Empiriana... It keeps going... and going.... and going..."

I had a Free Trial Account in January 1998 but other of life's activities drew me away. Comments here made me go looking in Earl's Archives and I found my printed copy of the Instruction Manual ver 1.07 (5/29/97) and about 50 pages of maps, in color, with location info.
I remember it being fun and getting lost a lot!

I did not know but am glad to see it is still alive and well. Many games cannot make the same claim.
I'll have to come for a visit.

Actually the game has been no charge for about 3 years or so. Maybe longer...I forget. We just didn't spam about it much. There is no advertising at all, we don't farm our customer info. At this time we are not making any revenues from teh game at all. Yes it does cost us for the T1, servers and the office the equipment is housed in. In the course of making Empiriana we did develop other technologies that did pay some bills. What we will be doing in the near future will be announced but Empiriana 1 is free for all to play. No catches apart from feedback for development of it and future products. We feel our target audience (I know your still out there somewhere) are Roleplayers. We are sort of figuring many of you are tired of the RPG's out there that are First Person Shooters with some type of stats dressed up as a RPG. We are more interested in making a game that caters to the Role Player/Adventurer. So where we fell short in Emp, we are hoping anything we do to it or future products will make up for it.
The offer to return to Empiriana stands, so come on back and check out what we are up to.

*sniff* *sniff* That was a great speech! I miss Emp now.

Many of us here watch the Emp boards too... Waiting.. Watching.... Hoping Emps dreams will fulfill our RPG needs and give us Ex-Inners a new home... So we can once again rule the wor... I mean play with our frien.... Ok, so we can sit in the tavern all night and have jello fights... Or twinkies.... Which ever is your ammo of choice....

Phew... Say, Beamer.... The boards seem abit slow over there... We allowed to start Emp discussions? Like I have some idea's about Emp 2, that I mentioned back on the Emp board waaaay back in the day... (Some kinda Terminal service...Thingy... Doohicky...) Can we jump over there with some ideas and comments?

doh, I think the email I used to use for Empiriana is long since gone. I remember the user name (I hope) but no clue on the password.

Somewhere I have screenshots buried from the early Emp days when it was packed all the time with folks.

ahh, more than a few I'm sure have taken the 'coke quest', my friend. hehehe <grin>

I've read that a few MMORPG's are looking into advertising in their games.. but I think it'd be a *wee* bit hard trying to find a way to keep from killing the 'immersive' aspect of a role playing game while looking at ads for cars and Axe body spray. Hmm.. actually, on second thought 'axe' might fit in hehe. Well, if it would score me a second income, I could do my part to help sell footwear and 'accesories'

Hey, ya know... since EverQuest II added pizza-ordering in-game I think Empiriana and all othe role-playing games should think of adding liquor-buying too. Certainly the Tavern would be a MUCH more immersive place with that addition.

Yeah posting on the Irealms web forums about features, discussing what we would all like in the game is very in order. Right now we are looking at all these ideas of things to do within a game that the players want and see how popular they are with everyone and how we would implement them. So feel free to get some discussions going on the boards.

As for getting your Login ID and Password you can get those without knowing your old email address. I know I could never remember the email address I had 10 years ago let alone the one I had 5 years ago. After filling out a service ticket at the help desk, just request and account lookup, supply the real life name and address of the person the account was registered under and at least one character name. Here is the link to the help desk.

For those that have a request in already, we will be getting the lookups done for you this weekend. Just got back at the computer myself this morning and downing some coffee. I will get Macros to look those up and respond to the requests for you.
