Just a few questions. Anyone know if theres anyway in which to either play on an ip adress, or are there any plans to create a server to mimic tsn and imagination, so that online and group play would be possible? I can talk to a lot of the programming majors at my school, and see if they would know how to set up a server to set this up, but Im not sure if we would need rites to the game or anything. if anyone has any ideas on if or how this would be possible, id love to get it started. I just got my brother to sign up on the site, and he desperately wants to go back to the old days of online play, as do I and im sure many others.
One last question... what are these rumors im hearing about yserbius II? I saw the mini trailer with en-li-kil, and am wondering if there really is a second project in the planning or development stages. If not, is there any company that we could talk to to see if they would undertake this project? Theres a Blizzard game office on my campus (UC IRVINE), and I could try to go in and talk to them about a possible game development, even though I dunno if i could get very far with them. Anyone interested, or have any information? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just curious and excited to be back in the volcano once more.
Fight on!

Wow, thats alotta questions...

Actually, for your first question. There have been MANY projects that have tried to bring the glory days back.. Ok, maybe only a handful... However, since alot of the technology that existed either isn't used, or was lost in the whole AOL/AT&T debacle, the mimic of the TSN servers is pretty much out of the question. Aside from that, what I understand, is it would be much faster to start from scratch anyways, which is what we're going for Ys Online, which is all Java Based.

As for Ys2, Yes... You are correct sir! Read around the Forums, especially in the Yserbius 2 Discussion, a bit further down the forums.

As for the other question, about programming... Well, we are interested in seeing some talent lend us their abilities. Ask them to send us their Resumes... But remember to mention, that there is no profit in this for anyone, and thus, no salary.

haha, yeah, I gotta say, it's pretty sweet seeing people getting back into this game. The last time I played was when i was about 9-10 years old! This is truly a game for the ages, even with its low-memory, low-graphic gameplay, the sheer design and greatness of the game transcends to modern day potentials. Good to be home!
Fight on!
